Once a year go someplace you’ve never been before

Welcome to my blog of my Camino de Santiago where I walked 238 kms from Porto, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela, Spain in September 2015.  I wrote it mainly because I used other people’s blogs to help me plan and prepare so I thought I would contribute too.  It’s been rewarding to remember all the fun, difficult, hilarious and strange events that happened over those twelve days.  For stories of the world’s biggest blisters (my world but still ginormous), tangles with seaweed, misadventures in hot pink nikes, dodgy drifters with cover stories involving the French Legion and some very un Pilgrim-like behaviour read on.
